What a game.

The Superbowl, this year was even better than I thought. Why? Because it kept my attention. I have to say the commercials were rather lame, there were a few good ones.  But the game got really good around 9 minutes left.  There were some plays that left me thinking did he really do that.  For example number 92 Harrison  running the 100 yard touchdown, how sweet is that.  Better yet one of the last plays number 10 Holmes , The catch that won the game.  It looked like it was out , but they played it from a different angle and he was in.    After the game, we went back to an empty house.  Yes, it slipped my mind we were moving.  But on the upside I am almost all packed up. Have a great Monday. I may be unable to blog for a couple of days. Due to traveling, But enjoy your time off.

OBAMA WATCH CENTRAL

Congress sued to remove
prez from White House

'Defendants had to ensure
the Constitution is upheld'

A new lawsuit is challenging Barack Obama's eligibility to be president, and this one targets Congress as a defendant for its "failure" to uphold the constitutional demand to make sure Obama qualified before approving the Electoral College vote that actually designated him as the occupant of the Oval Office.

The new case raises many of the same arguments as dozens of other cases that have flooded into courtrooms around the nation since the November election.

It is being brought on behalf of Charles F. Kerchner Jr., Lowell T. Patterson, Darrell James Lenormand and Donald H. Nelson Jr. and names as defendants Barack Hussein Obama II, the U.S., Congress, the Senate, House of Representatives and former Vice President Dick Cheney along with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Where's the proof Barack Obama was born in the U.S. or that he fulfills the "natural-born American" clause in the Constitution? If you still want to see it, join more than 193,000 others and sign up now!

As WND has reported, dozens of lawsuits have been filed over Obama's eligibility to assume the office of the president. Many have been dismissed while others remain pending.

The cases, in various ways, have alleged Obama does not meet the "natural born citizen" clause of the U.S. Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, which reads, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."

Some of the legal challenges have alleged Obama was not born in Hawaii, as he insists, but in Kenya. Obama's American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.

Other challenges have focused on Obama's citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born.

Several details of Obama's past have added twists to the question of his eligibility and citizenship, including his family's move to Indonesia when he was a child, his travel to Pakistan in the '80s when such travel was forbidden to American citizens and conflicting reports from Obama's family about his place of birth.

We made it!!

We made it, an empty house, with a tent and some sleeping bags and air mattresses, among the other things we needed to keep with us.  Done with the movers for now until we get to the new house.  We have had the  friendliest  movers both days.  My hat goes off to them for the impression they left.  Last night was not the best night sleep I have had, not so good on an air mattress, I already miss my bed badly.  The kids like this , they are ready to have smores and a campfire.  When I was thinking of all the things I needed to keep, it seemed like so much more, but as you put it in an empty house not so much.  I am grateful the weather has turned warmer, so my failed  attempt at remembering extra blankets, goes unnoticed.    If your wondering where I want to skip to now, It would have to be Wednesday (when we leave) although  fast forwarding to the unpacking of the new house would be Stellar.. Wishful thinking.

Comfort

I now  understand how pampered we are.  You see I did not have a working fridge yesterday, and I can not count how many times I opened it.  We had to unplug it Wednesday and make sure it was clean and dry.
So when you have to do without a refrigerator  and  a freezer, things drastically change..
As much as I like to eat out nothing appeals to me at this time. So, last night after being in traffic for 50 minutes, with the children who kept saying what are we having for dinner?
I made a pretty good meal, they ate it up.   We have survived having minimal comforts.  But back to the traffic, when you speed and cut people off who are just trying to get to their destination safely.  You put their lives in danger and that sucks, So to all the people who take all those extra minutes for granted.  Please think.. Drive safe.. We all want to get to our destination SAFELY.   Thanks for reading..

Skip

Guess what ?
I have made it to Thursday.  The day the Movers come to pack up all our belongings.
But Now I would really like to skip to Saturday.. Because then I can go to the next step of moving, the cleaning the house and packing the cars.
I like that I don't have to do it by myself, I been there done that and will take this kind of move any day.
I just don't like the overwhelming organizing of the things, what goes and stays.
I have done all the clothes, dishes, and about to pack the kids in the car to take them to a friends house.  I will write more later.
Have a great day everyone.

pennies for my thoughts

It almost looks all white outside. Yesterday and today we have gotten ice pellets, but this morning it seems to be a bit of snow mixed in it. I am so happy for my kids, they get to see and play in the snow if they dare.. You see my two older ones really wanted snow for Christmas, better late than never.  It is not a bunch of snow, but enough to make everything white and make it cold outside.
I am glad they got their wish, Because where we are going there may not be snow..
I was trying to think back in the day when I was a kid,   remembering how blessed it was to be able to live in different parts of the country and also go overseas, being able to experience  different cultures and climates.  I had first, thought when my own children were born I would not want them to move around as much.
I now know it will make them stronger, and they will be able to learn more, have more opportunities in their lives.  So I am glad I had the chances to live in all the places I did, and all the experiences make me ready for any obstacle.  So Thank You Dad for doing the job you did when I was growing up, and all the sacrifices you endured.  Thank you Mom for all the times you were strong for me, and you were both parents.   As I type this all down I know that my children know what we as parents do and most times they understand.  I believe that children see and know so much more than Adults give them credit for.

Thanks

Mexico thanks for bumping into my blog, please come again.

Moving

Good morning,
Well the next 8 days are going to be very busy so all my post well be very early, or very late.
We are making a move, soon we will be where people dress as we do now in 16 degree weather but they will be in 40 degree weather. We are excited to be them soon.
My thoughts on the move are so vast, I can't even put everything down.
First,  All the things that need to be done..(Prior to the move)
Second, All the cleaning.
Third, All the packing of clothes and things we will keep here while we live in an empty House.
Fourth,  All the washing of clothes.
Fifth, Make sure I get all important papers, books. (together)
Sixth, Figure out how in the world I will fit 4 kids, 2 dogs,1 guinea pig, a few suitcases, some school books, some other stuff that gets left behind from the movers. Oh, and finally two adults!!  The Good news, is we have two cars..
By the way I thought if I got the list started here I would have a better chance of not being scattered brain.
So you have been warned that the next few blog entries will be full of my moving obstacles.  Have a great day.

Kids view VS. Adult view

I was wondering how many other parents go through this:
You say one thing, but your kids hear something else.
For example:
You say "Clean up your room please."  The kids hear "Go play in your room until I call you."
You say "Please , Go wash your hands." The kids hear " Go to the bathroom and wet your hands."
You say "Get ready for bed."  The kids hear "Put pajamas on and then run around."
You say " Can you get a jacket?" The kids hear "Get another shirt on."

I am guessing that my attention to details when I was younger was a bit off.

But I am sure that I am not the  only parent that goes through this.
In the big scheme of life and things, These are rather minor complaints.

You see I think the world of my kids and love everyday that I have with them.
Also I count my blessings each and everyday and know he is above me watching.

Welcome

Thanks for visiting my Blog Thailand.

Now the words.

This is from World Daily Net.

President Obama today signed an executive order to repeal the Mexico City Policy that during President Bush's tenure protected Americans from being required to fund groups that promote and pay for abortions around the globe.
The plan was originated by President Reagan in 1984. It prohibited non-governmental organizations that receive federal funds from providing or promoting abortions in other nations.

President Clinton rescinded the rule Jan. 22, 1993, calling it "excessively broad" and "unwarranted."

The anti-abortion conditions "have undermined efforts to promote safe and efficacious family planning programs in foreign nations," Clinton said.

But when President Bush took office in January 2001, he immediately issued an executive order reinstituting the pro-life policy.

"It is my conviction that taxpayer funds should not be used to pay for abortion or actively promote abortion," Bush said.

International Planned Parenthood Federation and other abortion groups refused to conform to the ban. They continued to provide and promote abortions and, consequently, were denied access to funding from U.S. taxpayers.

The Congressional Quarterly reported on Obama's first day in office, just before the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, about the new president's repeal plans.

A Jan. 16 letter from 77 members of Congress posted by Life News urged Obama to continue the ban.

"[T]his policy is important because it establishes a bright line between family planning activities and abortion, therefore ensuring that United States family planning funds are not co-opted by groups who promote abortion as a method of family planning," the letter states. "Such activities would send a wrong message overseas that the United States promotes abortion."

For more reading on this, I did not post the whole article: I just gave you a taste of what is happening.

Thanks for stopping by My Blog U.S.A. and Canada and Germany.  Hopefully you get lost again and find yourself here.

A picture is worth more.

The inauguration of a president who supports abortion rights fired up the annual March for Life yesterday, with activists warning of new, more liberal legislation and urging President Obama to view abortion as a civil-rights issue akin to slavery.

one season

The above picture is off goggle, I thought it was appropriate.
Ladies and Gentleman,
You are fully aware of fads and trends.
Well I have a new one that drives me crazy..
Maybe not in the best of ways.
My Guy has been on this thing for months.
Telling  me how it is so great..
Well I was exhausted of hearing the how is it so great. I got an account to watch it.
It is the world of trading and buying Athletes  . One Season, Look it up if you dare!
It is like the stock market but with sports.
I am not giving it a Good review or Bad review.
Just trying to have a middle ground with My Guy.
No energy left to be mad at him staring at the stinking computer all day..
I would rather join in and then I have a something to toy with.  Going to be diplomatic, I would waste to much energy on the Mad game ( you know the one).  So joining forces, I am not part of the dark side, I have become a Jedi..( for all you Star Wars Fans).

dot your I's and cross your T's

This is one of the best things I can say that helps when I am in  doubt.
Dot your I's and Cross your T's.
You see right now we are in the process of moving.
Which means trying to buy another home far away from the one we
are settled in now.  So there is much, much paperwork to read and sign.
There are many conversation to be had and you must make a great effort
to have everything done just right.
Asking the write question?
Hoping for the right answer.
Making sure every piece of paper they want is  signed.
In life when I am explaining something to the four little ones, I must be very specific.
for example:If I say please get dressed.  I should understand that I did not say what to wear.
The two little ones take getting dressed too the next level. Princess dresses, snow hats, boots, jackets, and bathing suit under all of it.  Sometimes the hair even gets done.. But do I dare take them out.. I would, depending on the place.  The question is do they dare go out like that.   Crystal clear is the way to go. Dot your I's and cross your T's.

Coffee and Running

Coffee and Running are the perfect combination of course not at the same time.
I also read that you should  drink a beer after a run, I am all for that..
I think sometimes I drink too much water, but then I think no way!!
A week ago I biked 10 miles, was rather easy.  But when I got off the bike I
felt the uncomfortable pain on my backside.. So I will run any day of the
week, rather than bike.
The run I enjoy is the one that makes you feel like you have nothing
left, then from somewhere deep inside you pull through.  You feel this
amazing burst of adrenaline and pure strength.  You are the only one that
can control if you stop or go on.
Longer, Stronger...
The pain last for a bit but that finishing is forever.
I love running with my family.
I still have the best memory of my daughter running a 5k with me
and kicking it in the end.  She left me, but it felt great to know that she had that in her.
Again All of  My Little Blessings Amaze Me Everyday.

business and memories

I feel like I have been running around all day long.
The normal comings and goings of the week and weekend.
sleepovers (memories)
school,school(getting smarter)
making play dates with friends(more memories)
on the phone long distance about another home (making plans)
signing papers and more papers(spending money)
figuring out your finances(getting a wake up call)
de cluttering your house (feeling accomplished)
realizing you have a bunch of stuff to get rid of (sad for the stuff you have collected)
finding out your house does not look the same  (feeling weird)
with:
no pictures
no clutter
no toys
no laundry
no trash
although the clutter is re organizing in the Garage.
Realizing you had this potential all the time..(Priceless)..

Did I do that?

Dynamic duo  is what I call my two littlest ones (3 and 5).
They seem to tag team every obstacle.  Which makes watching them very interesting.
Most of  my family and friends have seen these entertaining moments.  Some say that the
Three year old is the mastermind.
I remember not so long ago the five year old use to be the one who would push the three year old into things.
One day I recall the five year old telling the other to jump off the Five drawer dresser.  I came around the corner to hear the count off 1 2 3 and I realized that I should approach with caution.  If I did not, the one that was planning on jumping would fall.
So as they both saw me, the one about to jump (froze) yes.  The other acted innocent.  That day I decided the dresser could no longer stay in the company of the girls (Dynamic Duo).  We have had other adventures , but for now that is by far the one that remains in my mind.  When both of them had a part in the moving of furniture.
So I now never leave them for a moment, in silence.  If they are fighting or other loud emotion which do not involve counting. We are not too bad off.

Accident

This is the correct term of an accident: an unforeseen and unplanned event or circumstance.
Well a long story made short for your benefit and mine.
As you may know My Guy and I were 950 miles away from the kids.
We were house hunting, and one morning and accident happened, with grandpa and two of the four kids.
I got a call asking for instruction of one of the other cars. Which made me puzzled, then I returned the call, to ask if everything was okay.  The response was "I don't know, and no."  Okay,at this point I am planning to get to the airport as fast as I can and leave My guy behind.. I know a bad thought.. But I was beyond frightened, I was sick, and almost unable to breathe.
So after an hour of debating back and forth with My guy, we just sat still at the house we had been viewing. He talked to the realtor as I walked outside and said the rosary( twice).  Then the phone rang, and tears came rolling down as I heard my mother in laws voice saying that everyone was okay.  But there was an accident, and two of the kids were in it, and had been put in an ambulance to  get checked out.. They had been released, and everything was okay.
The definition of okay is: all right/approval/endorsement/ authorize

So as this all happened and became better, I now know how things aren't always what you think or seem they are going to be.
But both kids are well, one has some war wounds- the air bag deployed and saved one kid.
The other kid was in the back but was just shaken up.
The Grandfather got banged up to but doing better.
I am Just Grateful everyday I have with my family and that God watches over them so faithfully.

Wednesday, January 07, 2009

I have a thirteen year old now..

It feels like just yesterday I  found out that we were going to be parents.
I remember thinking I was not ready, scared, but I knew god was with me to help guide myself
and The Guy.
She made me lose about 10 pounds during the first trimester, I was unable to eat, or keep anything down in my stomach.  But in her defense I had no idea how to eat right, for example:
popcorn, chips, pizza for (breakfast) this may sound good but when your bodies  supporting
another human being.  Eating good is your main concern, and taking care of yourself.
Who knew?  I found out very quickly she would not let me eat anything I wanted.
We measured my belly.
We read all the books.
We took the classes.
We listen to the advice.
We went shopping.
We had the bag packed.
We had the numbers/names of people to call.
We knew the route we would take.
We started exercising, walking and more walking.
Then the day came, she made us wait another 12 hours before she was ready to make her
entrance to the world.
We walked around for hours prior to her arrival.
Then the moment came, She was here in my arms.
ten fingers, ten toes, two eyes, two ears-- I have to tell you I remember counting and checking everything out. I know silly me. Then she left for a very short time to get all checked out, and then back next to me.  I almost did not want to share her. But sleep kept getting in the way.
She  makes me a better Mom everyday, She wants to share things with me, She amazes me everyday.  I don't want her to grow up, but I can't wait to see what she does in her life.
I love her.

950 miles

So I am far away from my kids.
To be exact 950 miles, WOW.
We are house hunting, which can be such a long process.
I would like to point out that most of the pictures that we looked at online of the
front of the houses look rather different in person.
But besides the house hunting, I have been able to spend time with the Guy.
I get him all to myself.
We have ran together and swam, and shopped.
We walked on the beach.
live,laugh,love.

together

Prepare Yourself :
He is back with us, the minutes are intense
with   him so close.
He is flattering and warm with every second.
He entices me with all the things he says and
does for Me.
We are doing things we have not done in awhile.
We are a couple, we are together, to face the
issues and happiness of the days.
He wants to take care of me, to hug me.
I want him to know that I need him and need to have him
with me.
He use to walk far Ahead of Me.
But now He walks Next to Me.

First running day

Since the 13 th of this month I have been unable to run, due to health issues.
Being that yesterday was the 26 th and my official first day back.
I took it easy and ran  17 minutes, not bad for having 13 days off.
I felt wonderful, I missed it.
I wanted to run  more, but thought I would take it easy.
I actually felt better when I came back from my run, almost cured.
So I have decided unless a doctor tells me that I can not run, and then even
when that happens I may still break the rules, and Run.
My running buddies are usually my ipod, hat, glasses, watch.
Of course the norm (shorts, shirt, socks, shoes) I am a New Balance girl.
I wish you all a day with good running weather.

I'll Give you the Moon.

I like movies.
I have actually never seen It's a Wonderful Life until
last night.  I have to say I have been missing one of the
best Christmas Movies ever.  I wish I could share the whole
movie with you here, but I picked.
One scene, for you to watch.

Merry Christmas to All of you.  Have a safe Holiday.
Maybe we could all pray for our service men  and women who are far away
from us.

One Day You

One day I came across you, I was taken by your smiles.
You made me feel like I was special again, like I mattered.
One day I stood in front of you as a woman, who wanted more.
You took me for a dance, from one end of the floor to the other.
One day I saw you filled  with love for me .
You have shown the days and nights too me.
One day I became part of you.
You became part of me.
One day I went for a walk without you.
You turned and saw me walking, and ran after me.
One day you brought me back.
You realized our love is timeless.
One day you grew more than I.
You towered above me, yet you waited  for me.
One day I opened my memories to you.
You flowed with sadness.
One day I looked at you as a Man, Father,Best Friend,Soul mate.
You are the air I breathe, the blood that flows in me,you are my everything.
One day you got mad.
You left me sitting alone, wondering if you would turn to me.
One day you sat here, no longer.
You will return, I have faith, I am patient.
One day.......

Kids and Colds

First off,
if you have more than one child you know about this.
How when one child gets sick, it makes its rounds.
No, they don't all get it at once, it is one by one.
Then when it has gone through all the children, it hits
you, the Mommy .
So now you are sick and the children are all better and you have to keep your distance.
I laugh at that because you still  have to do your job.
But at this moment I am in the need rest mode or else I will
get worse.  So I think they should invent a isolation room for your family
members when they get sick. As much as I want to hug them, I want all
of us to be better.  You can still see you family member and eat with them but you don't breathe the same air they do..  But I do get to benefit from being sick sometimes, I get to crawl in bed early and sleep in and nap time.  Oh and why do colds always find us in the winter, it is freezing.. Oh well we are a bit under the weather.

Manic Monday

Messy Manic Monday's
Most times when you get one of these days, where you are shuffling
from one thing to another. You left your home before lunch and did
not get back until after dinner.  This is one of those days where you
ask yourself " did that just happen? or where did the whole day go?"
Normally I would be sad, or frustrated not this day. We were as
together as we could be (without Our Guy) and we were as safe as
we could be without being inside all day.  I watched my children act and just have fun,
this year we are in two Christmas plays.  The usual one every year for our
church, and a new one with our homeschooling group.   The Homeschool play is much more
in depth, but very interesting.  The other play is with all of the children this year, I am
excited to see all of them in this play( all four have lines). Oh did I mention that Our Guy
will be here everyday, every night so he will get to share things with us again.  Yes.. three days left weather providing.

When you have two.

Strange how all great stories have two main characters.
My Guy and I were meant to be.  Five days or so before he is ours again.
I know why you need two:
Someone to give you that hand for picking you up.
Someone to help you .
Someone to hold your hand in a enduring way.
Someone to give you goosebumps.
Someone to smile at you ever so sweet.
Someone to stare at you and vice versa.
Someone to watch your kids do weird stuff.
Someone to call your Soulmate.
Yes, He is it for Me and I for him.
Someone to share life with.
Someone to have a date with.
Someone to remind you that you are different, but the same.
Yes, He is it for Me and I for him.

Tamales...

Yesterday, we had our Tamale making party, which turned into women getting around and chatting. The mass of children going off with each other, ages ranging from 18 months to 12 years old. Total 12 children and only 4 adults. You  do the math??  But It was a  great party, without actually making the tamales, but we did have some I made and then a mexican feast, the kind which fills you up until you say Nap Time anyone!!  My family and I will soon be leaving this place that I can say I am  better  at everything for having met the families who were here for this special day.  It was also the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which we had a very nice and interesting women come and speak to us about the picture of our lady of Guadalupe.  She gave us some much information, I am still amazed.    I remember making tamales with my Grandma's, one is in Heaven the other is in a nursing home and can no longer take care of herself. So yesterday was  beautiful to be able to have these women and their families share this holiday tradition. We are truly blessed to have met each of of these women and their wonderful families.

Coffee

Coffee is my friend, my partner in crime, the pick me up in my day.
Coffee is a legal way for me to become happy, awake, alert.
Coffee starts my day, gives me comfort in a world of little people following me around and asking me what I am doing, or if they can do something.
I truly Thank the makers of coffee, for making something that would give me all these feelings just by drinking it.
I do enjoy the occasional coffee out in a store
( starbucks, green bean, ect..) even though they are overpriced.  They don't taste better than the coffee from my good old coffee machine at home.  The only time it taste better is when it is an expresso(double, triple). But by far nothing compares to the joy of the coffee I get at home sitting around watching my children.  Oh and on the off chance I should happen to be blessed to have My Guy here, the coffee is even better.

silly dogs

Our family has two dogs now, one a big 60 pound (Rhodesian ridgeback mix) and the new one a little 10+pound (miniature dachshund ).  I tell you they are busy and stinky and just funny to watch.  I think it silly to watch them play because the little one starts it off, and the big one kind of just rolls with it.  In a way of just amusement of the little dog.  I sometimes think it reminds me of the above video.  These dogs will sleep like nobody's business.  One thing about the little one is he really forgets how small he is.

Running

This is my addiction, the thing I feel complete when I have done it.
Yes, Running  is my chocolate craving.  I feel better when I have ran, most times I find myself on the treadmill, every once in awhile I get outside.
Outside runs, push me harder, and I get lost in the beautiful colors of the trees and the sky.
Inside runs, push me faster, and I get lost in the  T.V. and forget.
Running is my anchor, I stay afloat because it helps me maintain some sense of balance, stability, clarity, and best of all patience.
I know with running on my side, I can do anything.
It helps me stay healthy , fit, stronger, relaxed, driven, in control.
You see in my world things sometimes feel like a whirlwind of hectic jobs, errands, taking care of everything ,and everyone.
This is for me, all mine..
Okay I share it but not the miles not the work, and the reward is great but I make note of the strength it took to get to the end.  With running I think there is never an end just pit stops, I welcome as many of these as my body, mind, and family will let me..

Running is a forever thing for me.

Christmas Party

I very rarely get time away from the children, to be an adult.  But last night I got that opportunity, joining the masses  at a Christmas Party.  I  realized how much I forgot what it is like to go out with out four little ones behind or beside me making my way through public places. I tell you when you converse with other adults you only need to say something one time, Who knew?  Also you get to eat your whole meal without being disturbed, and can go to the bathroom by yourself.  Best of all I got to dress up, no mommy attire, nor the running clothes.
I tell you I felt good, but I did miss counting my little ones, and missed the time we were apart.
One of  my friends told me this awhile back, she said her Priest understands a mothers job is big enough, but a homeschooling mother has taken on a big challenge.  Because she (the mother) Has placed her child's life, education, morals, values, and their dreams ahead of her own wants and desires, dreams.   I think I sometimes need a push or bump to remind me of the blessings I  have,  the four wonderful children that I know and hold their education in my hands, and their religious beliefs , I actually can make them better everyday, and I can have them one day turn around and do the same thing for their families.

shopping

Every year I tell myself that I am going to shop Early, for Christmas,
and just like clockwork, I fail again.  I am left once again shopping a month before, weeks before, and my utter favorite days before.
I hope that one year I succeed in this goal. I actually am sure most people do all their shopping all year, or early.  But for us procrastinators, one day,one year we will do something on time..
Okay, in my defense this is one of the few, very few things I wait, and wait to do.
I also have become very fond of the online shopping, when you have four children of different ages, and a Guy who is always gone, this is what you do. Plus the packages already come prepared for wrapping.  But this year my shopping is kept to a minimal for we have a big move coming .  Whenever I move I tend to find things, and throw things away, give things away, but I don't think I ever accumulate more.  So I am thankful to say I will  surely be done with shopping in a week, hoping and praying everything gets to me before the day.

last trip

Happy last month of 2008.

To our Family this means we have (cross your fingers, toes) Only 17 days until Our  Guy is home and can start to drive us crazy. Which we all look forward too.
I want to be bothered, share the joys and sorrows of the day  with someone.
I want to have an adult conversation with someone older than 12, in my home. (not on the phone)
I want to fight over the last cup of coffee, then lose, and have to make more.
I want to share the the remote, yes the remote( realizing , that football trumps basketball)Who knew?
I want to find out I have no more bread, cheese, meat to make a sandwich, because My Guy is here.
I want to know I have a partner in crime who will say"because I said so, that's why!"
I want to know I serve dinner for 6 instead of 5 , I need an extra dish to wash.
I want to have someone to say"this is how we do it," and then have a little, tiny, itsy, bitsy, fight.
Yes I want to argue, and then make up!!
I want to say " You can  ask My guy?"
I just want to have him home, safe, sound,in our home, we all count the days.
We pray and hope that this is the last trip, crossing our fingers.

TURKEY DAY

About nine (9) years ago or so, the day before turkey day was something I would have taken back.
You see my brothers were in a very horrible car accident, which put both of them in grave danger.
One was air-lifted to a different hospital than the elder.
My parents were left not to know what was going to happen to the brother who was flown away.
The other took hours to be cleared and still need to be checked out further, but  considering the circumstances they allowed them to leave and drive the two hours to get to the other hospital that the other son (brother) was at, not knowing the outcome.
Might I mention , that I was a 1,000 miles or so away, and not sure if I could see or ever hear their voices and smiles again( for real).  I truly love them and thank God for everyday they are on this Earth with me. At that time I had no idea that my life would be what  it is now.  I guess I can honestly say that things work out in the end or for the better.  Don't get me wrong , I would have liked it not to happened.  But my family is where we are today, because of the events of that one horrible night.  So to you I say I am thankful for the mistakes, falls, trips, wrong turns, the right turns, and bumps in the road which lead to your greatest accomplishments.
Happy Thanksgiving.

One more day

One more day I tell myself, to be closer to having him here.
One day closer to knowing he is ours.
One day closer to being able to know him again.
One day marked off our calender, until he is safe.
One day for our house to have  two adults in it.
One day to have a set time for dinner.
One day to have someone again call me .
One day for my life to have him here, to make decisions with.
One day closer to having someone to ask questions.
One day closer to wrapping my arms around him.
To One day  being whole again.
I know this life is good, I again Thank all the many other military families
whom have loved ones far away.
My prayers are with you always.

special day

Well  for many years I have been waiting for the day, time, place to be right for us as a family to baptize our littlest one , who is three years old.
Everything is meant to happen for a reason, I can say I am feeling better and better about this day finally arriving.  So are the  two oldest, they have forever and a day been saying things such as the following," oh, if you want to be sad about something, it should be because little one is not baptized," among other little hints and  gestures.  So we are excited and thrilled, just seems that it all fell into place.
My Great Grandma (Ama) used to say "that they had a little devils tail, if they had not been baptize."  Well I will let you know if she changes in any way.  But I believe she is great , yet I am biased about the blessings I have.
Afterwards: As we started the baptism, she seemed shy and unsure.  I had butterflies in my stomach, full of excitement.  Finally, after all this she had been baptized , as it happened I looked at my other children  and one had the biggest smile I have ever seen.  My oldest was up with us being a proxy and she enjoyed that. The five year old was trying to sit still , she did her best. To sum it up I felt tears of joy as I knew now she had been baptized .

Random thought

My days are filled with taking care of little ones, that are becoming big ones right in front of my eyes.  My thought is for My Guy, you see he has missed a tremendous amount of our time here, because of the deployments.  I feel that he feels strange being around  us for a long period of time. When he is not here we seem to stay pretty busy, school, parks, friends over and much more.  I guess our days just rush by and before we know it he has returned.  This is how we deal with this life we live right now. My thought is I think all military families go through this at one time or another. I am interested in how we as spouses of these men and women who go and do their job away from their families.  How we do it and How they get through it?I know I am stronger in my faith and love for him.
Every night I can tuck my kids in, but not My Guy.
Everyday I can hug them as our day starts, but not My Guy.
I can sit around the table and talk to them about our day, but not My Guy.
I can watch them play with friends and see the pure joy in their faces, but not My Guy.
I get these memories Forever etched in my mind, forever. Not My Guy.
I get Forever, Always, I feel sad when I think of my memories not matching My Guy's.
But one day Forever will be his too, the memories of our kids, special days, special things, anything shared for even a moment. It will be Forever.

crying

Someone wrote the below, and as I was reading it I was brought to tears.
I thought I would share.

Senator Obama wins the presidential election, especially if liberal majority takes over in the Senate, we can expect the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child Treaty to be brought up for ratification as soon as proponents (like Senator Clinton) believe it has enough support to pass. Since Madeline Albright signed the treaty on President Clinton's behalf while he was still in office, ratification by the Senate is all it needs to become the "law of the land."From Parental Rights: If this treaty is made binding upon our country, the government would have the power to intervene in any child's life to advance its definition of "the best interests of the child." The scenarios that could occur-and are occurring-as a result of this dangerous notion are both manifold and frightening. Under the UNCRC,instead of following due process, government agencies would have the power to override your parental choices at their whim because they determine what is in "the best interest of the child." Expect independent homeschooling to be outlawed and replaced by government school-at-home programs, where Bible-based curriculum and teaching any subject from a biblical perspective will be banned. Expect private schools to become government-run with the same restrictions. Expect the government to use overseeing & directing your homeschooling as an avenue to accuse you of false non-homeschooling allegations like abuse, neglect, etc., thereby having your children removed from you.
