Believe it or Not?

BIZMAN ON CAMPUS: Typing teacher Alan Rosenfeld outside the Brooklyn “rubber room” where he clocks in every morning with fellow classroom exiles and manages a law practice and real-estate fortune.

TEACHERS GONE WILD!: 'LOVE BOAT' PROM SCANDAL
Because the Department of Education could not produce all the students as witnesses, he was found guilty in only one case. A girl testified that Rosenfeld stopped at her locker, where she was standing with a friend, and "said I love him because I talk to him so much."
A DOE hearing officer gave him a slap on the wrist -- a week off without pay -- for "conduct unbecoming a teacher." He was cleared to return to teaching.
Instead, Schools Chancellor Joel Klein has kept the scruffy 64-year-old in a Brooklyn rubber room, deeming him too dangerous to be near kids, officials said.
The DOE can't fire him.
"We have to abide by the union contract," spokeswoman Ann Forte said.
So Rosenfeld simply collects his $100,049 salary -- top scale for teachers -- plus full health benefits and the promise of a fat pension, about $82,000 a year if he were to retire today.
His pension will grow by $1,700 each year he remains. He could have retired at age 62, but he stays.
He has also accumulated about 435 unused sick days -- and will get paid for half of them when he retires.
With city teachers trying to negotiate a 4 percent pay hike, Rosenfeld stands to get the raise.
All this largesse comes as Mayor Bloomberg threatens to cut 2,500 teachers to help close a $4 billion budget gap.
Meanwhile, the multimillionaire Rosenfeld lords over the rubber room, where he is the oldest and most veteran of 100 teachers.

June Cleaver

June Evelyn Bronson Cleaver is a fictional character in the American television sitcom Leave It to Beaver. June and her husband, Ward, are often invoked as the archetypal suburban parents of the 1950s. The couple are the parents of two sons, Wally and "Beaver". Wally is twelve years old and in the eighth grade when the series opens; Beaver is seven years old ("almost eight") and in the second grade. Episodes followed the escapades of Wally and Beaver, and usually ended with the boys receiving both a moral lecture from their father regarding their misbehavior and a hot, nutritious dinner from their mother.

Here is the thing, Do you think June Cleaver should be our role model as the mother for all of us
mother's to strive to be. GIven the fact she is a fictional character and all. But hey I would be so lucky to be as calm and cool,
and just so gosh darn lovely as she was.

So in this fast paced world we live in, I think this is something that would be an idea that would draw families close.
You see now that I have no living Grandmother's, I did feel such pity for myself. But then My guy saw how I was feeling an he looked at me and said" at least your Grandmother got to meet our children and you grew up with her."

Puzzled and full of regret, he lost his Grandmother when he was in 7 th grade.

Talk about feeling even more crappy than before, now I felt sad for him. But then most of all Blessed..

Which brings me back to the June Cleaver idea, The mother is the gathering person, care giver, healer, organizer, she is the one who keeps the family together. Don't get me wrong the father is an important factor in the family. Without the father things would not be able to happen like the mothers happiness, love, children, and just peace of mind.

On that note I call this post Done.

Run over on to the Next!

So the first 5k done, ready to run more in her honor/memory.

I ran with my Guy and felt the motivation of her hands pushing me and inspiring me to finish.

I remember during the race, One point there is this steady slopping bridge going up, I felt like I was never going
to reach the top. I felt this ever so light breeze pushing me forward, keeping my legs moving. It was Her, showing me
I have it in me to pull through, and conquer the obstacle.

After the bridge it was cake, easy the downhill helped me get to the finish line, I finished better than
I expected.

I thank you Grandma for the inspiration and the motivation to Get The Running Bug Back.

I Miss you and Love you.

5k in memory of My Grandma

Saturday Morning 6 th of February I will be running a 5k.

I have been overwhelmed with emotion the past two weeks.
So I have decided to dedicate this 5k and many more to my Grandmother, she was someone
who made me the woman I am. She is deeply missed and I wish I could hug her again.

To feel the warmth of her arms, to taste the cooking,to see her beautiful smile one more
time would such a sweet blessing.

I understand she is looking down on all of my family and cradling us in her arms, She
makes me a stronger women.

I can only hope that she will be the wind carrying me to the finish line.

God Bless each one of you.

Good morning All,

Yesterday I watch this show to see what I had thought about the title and show, was true.

I was right, I did only watch one episode, but became overwhelmed with emotions.

First, I thought that they might have glamourized that becoming a mother at 16 years old, is the norm.

Second, on the upside they are having their babies, which I fully support The Life Choice.

I know people all have conflicting views on pro-life vs pro-choice.

On that note: To have a show solely based on 16 year old girls going through this life changing event, with or without family,
seems sad, tragic, uplifting, informant, unbelievable, truthful. While I don't agree with the tactics this show is opening our eyes to the epidemic of teenage pregnancy , I hope it does succeed to help.

I pray for our teenager girls and all women facing obstacles that they feel are Daunting.

God bless you All.
