Taking Chance

Yesterday, I saw a really touching movie about something that has been done since we have been over in Iraq.
The movie was called Taking Chance, on Hbo with Kevin Bacon.
I wish I could tell you more but I would hate to let the cat out of the bag.
If you have a moment of free time, please watch it.
I warn you it is very emotional, and will have you thinking and respecting the life we all live.

Here is a teaser:
U.S. Marine Lt. Col. Michael Strobl, wrote this about  his travels.
Chance Phelps was wearing his Saint Christopher medal when he was killed on Good Friday. Eight days later, I handed the medallion to his mother. I didn't know Chance before he died. Today, I miss him.

Alright, fourteen years ago I met a man that would change my life forever.
He made me feel wonderful  and of course he swept me away from my family.
He showed me how to feel and be loved.
The story goes like this:
One evening I was in the same area as this man of my life .
I walked up to him and asked him to dance.. Yes, I asked him.
We danced, then talked.
I have to say I was hooked on him that night.
We spent the next few months together, then he was gone for
Christmas.   I then went to visit him when he asked me to marry him.
I said YES!! Now we are fourteen years , four kids,  eight moves , six cars, five states, countless road trips, one family vacation down and many more too go.
Yesterday was our 14 year anniversary, and I love him more everyday.

In transit

Pardon me if I am gone for a bit, we are presently trying to get settled and internet is not connected until Friday the 20 th of this month.
I can tell you I am trying to keep busy from cleaning to running.
Oh and getting used to where I live now..
We have a busy week, some meetings, and movers, and finally our wonderful children coming
into town.  Right now I am doing laundry,  I will be very thankful to have all our furniture and children.  I wish you all a blessed week, and hopefully I can get online and blog about useless stuff.
My places to get free Wi-Fi are limited to Whataburger, public library, and the laundry mat.
Oh if you thought I could get Wi-Fi at Starbucks, you are wrong. It is not free, you must set up an account.  No more coffee there, plus I am sure there is better coffee.

crossing

Last night we were watching the local news.  They were reporting on an accident were a child died .  The quick version is that they were driving in a pick up on a dirt road and two four year olds were in the back just enjoying the drive. When one fell out, they stopped and called 9-1-1 and tried to help him.
The news actually shared the 9-1-1 call from the parents.
I had to turn it, I could not believe that they could even share that kind of personal moment of a family in turmoil.  My issue is when does this cross the lines, when does it become a invasion of private and personal  matters.  I share things here that I want too, but I am allowed to pick and choose events from my life that I want.   Would  You be outraged and hurt by the material that was shared on Television?  My prayers go out to this family and hope they are able to find a sense of peace.  I  say  "want what you have and have what you want."   I treasure everyday I have with my family. Have a great day.

wind blowing

Yesterday ,we got the little ones stitches removed ( ouch) .  It was a daunting  task I hope I don't have to do for long while.  My guy and I had to hold her down,  she was  scared and did not want to hear anything.  All done with that, now on to the spoiling of her.  Letting her know she is braver than I could be.  Kids have some real inner strength and ability to move past bad things.  I want to be a kid sometimes.  Just to be able to forget and move forward, or have no real worries, or just to play.  Let the wind blow through my hair as I run, or play outside, not worrying about WHAT IF??  I am really glad that we are at a place where I can breathe for a bit, but I doubt everything that has happened in the past few months has fully hit me.
Here is food for thought:
I was looking around as I am typing this and notice something  interesting.
The house I am in right now has a clock hanging in the kitchen on the wall that has the days of the week on it. Yes, No time.. Just days.. Right now the hand is pointing to Wednesday.
I can't wait until I can have one of those.. So I will not be concerned with the hours, minutes, seconds.  You tell me what you think? Have a great Day...

Check this out.

This was on Glenn Beck and I thought it was interesting.

The Nine Principles

1. America is good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Shame on you
Fool me twice
Shame on me."

something happened

We are safe and sound at our destination.  After traveling for two days, we arrived late Thursday.
This was our most hectic and chaotic trip.
You see I am about too share something that has change our family forever with you all.

You see after traveling one full day we stopped and started resting at a hotel when one of our
dogs snapped at our five year old daughter.
Which put us in the emergency  room for about five hours.  She needed six stitches  on her lip and cheek.   She is doing well and she gets the stitches out on Tuesday.
The other side of this story is that we our now shy one dog because we can not trust him around our children.  He is now at a animal shelter for a ten day period( they are watching him).
Good news though one of our very close friends is going to pick him up and give him a home.
This is an change that I was not prepared for.  I have to say I cry all the time, feeling as if I could have stopped this.  But we pray for my daughters health and that the healing allows her to have little to no scar.  Please understand I am sharing this with you, because I want you to know that this story has a semi-happy ending.  The truth of the matter is that I am happy my children are with me and that God gives me all the strength to endure everything and anything.

random entry

Well looks like things are halting the leave for today. It always works out for the better, we are able to be well rested.  It is a long drive almost 16 hours drive time..
Picture the two adults, four kids, two dogs, one guinea pig, and two cars packed with stuff..
Yes, I found a whole mess of stuff.. That did not show itself yesterday.  So for sure I will be packed up tonight and on our way in the wee hours of the morning.  The more driving done while the kids think it is nighttime, is better for the drivers.  So if all of you could say a little prayer for my family and the  drive to be safe and as calm as possible.  Have a great week.  Thanks again for reading my blog.

Thank you

Thank for stopping by United Kingdom.

Thanks

Welcome Belgium for stopping by.

What a game.

The Superbowl, this year was even better than I thought. Why? Because it kept my attention. I have to say the commercials were rather lame, there were a few good ones.  But the game got really good around 9 minutes left.  There were some plays that left me thinking did he really do that.  For example number 92 Harrison  running the 100 yard touchdown, how sweet is that.  Better yet one of the last plays number 10 Holmes , The catch that won the game.  It looked like it was out , but they played it from a different angle and he was in.    After the game, we went back to an empty house.  Yes, it slipped my mind we were moving.  But on the upside I am almost all packed up. Have a great Monday. I may be unable to blog for a couple of days. Due to traveling, But enjoy your time off.

OBAMA WATCH CENTRAL

Congress sued to remove
prez from White House

'Defendants had to ensure
the Constitution is upheld'

A new lawsuit is challenging Barack Obama's eligibility to be president, and this one targets Congress as a defendant for its "failure" to uphold the constitutional demand to make sure Obama qualified before approving the Electoral College vote that actually designated him as the occupant of the Oval Office.

The new case raises many of the same arguments as dozens of other cases that have flooded into courtrooms around the nation since the November election.

It is being brought on behalf of Charles F. Kerchner Jr., Lowell T. Patterson, Darrell James Lenormand and Donald H. Nelson Jr. and names as defendants Barack Hussein Obama II, the U.S., Congress, the Senate, House of Representatives and former Vice President Dick Cheney along with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Where's the proof Barack Obama was born in the U.S. or that he fulfills the "natural-born American" clause in the Constitution? If you still want to see it, join more than 193,000 others and sign up now!

As WND has reported, dozens of lawsuits have been filed over Obama's eligibility to assume the office of the president. Many have been dismissed while others remain pending.

The cases, in various ways, have alleged Obama does not meet the "natural born citizen" clause of the U.S. Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, which reads, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."

Some of the legal challenges have alleged Obama was not born in Hawaii, as he insists, but in Kenya. Obama's American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.

Other challenges have focused on Obama's citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born.

Several details of Obama's past have added twists to the question of his eligibility and citizenship, including his family's move to Indonesia when he was a child, his travel to Pakistan in the '80s when such travel was forbidden to American citizens and conflicting reports from Obama's family about his place of birth.
